Hi guys! I'm Courtney! I'm a Magazine Journalism student at Temple University, and this is my music blog! I write mostly about the bands that I listen to or have just discovered and want you to know about. I check out new bands, and bands that most people know and love. The Strokes!? Oh yea!

The Strokes are the classic epitome of an indie rock band. If you say you don’t like The Strokes, you’re lying because their sound can appeal to almost anyone. The Strokes deliver blaring guitars matched up with rapid drum beats that keep you hanging on every last note. Plus their lyrics are AMAZING. And, of course, if you watch Andy Samberg’s Lonely Island videos, you’ll find Julian Casablancas (lead singer) in “Boombox.” It’s definitley worth taking a listen to for some laughs. Julian’s appearance in the Lonely Island videos shows that the band has a sense of humor and can relate more to their fans. If you wanna hear the best song that shows the true stylings of The Strokes, check out their song ”Last Nite” off their album Is This It.
